So I'm finally starting to play this, and I must say, it's pretty-damn cool so far!

I bought this because I wanted to map for the GameBanana Insurgency Contest, but I must say now I'm intrigued to play a FPS game with now crosshair, radar overview, nor kill notifications!

Considering the only shooter game I play really is CS, I'm finding the extra controls a little intimidating, but I'm slowly adjusting! Another thing I must say is this game is HARD and the maps are gigantic

I LOVE that it only takes a couple shots to kill, compared to CS where unless you get headshots, prepare to use half your clip.. It's also nice having a sprint and prone button again!(last game I played that had that was DoD:S!)

The weight system and many of the other features(that I'm still getting aquainted with), make for MUCH REALISM, and I'm really enjoying it! Incredible work, especially for a 3rd-party mod!

What do you guys think of the game so far, and is anyone mapping for the contest?

Game is good, but either its not optimized very well or something, i get low fps in it.
The realism is what sets it apart from something like CS, at first i felt like i was lost and had no idea what i was doing (dieing all the time), but you get the hang of it.

I'm really digging the layout and size of insurgency maps as well; CS maps always felt a bit crammed for me. Gameplay wise i still prefer CS:GO; insurgency weapons feel a bit awkward...Might be because of crosshair or recoil, idk...Maybe i got too used with CS and now everything feels unnatural.
Was thinking about the gamebanana contest when they 1st announced it and decided not to participate. Since i'm really new to the game, whatever map i would make will probably have terrible gameplay.

Urby beat me by 40 seconds on the training course, fuck me if i even find that hard.. I don't think I've got EVEN ONE kill yet on Panj yet versus AI! SHIT IS ROUGH
