Ive worked on quite a few maps but the lighting problem remains. Only on one map - i dont have light flooding the level. All the others have light, even when i remove the sky texture and all the real lights... why is this so? thanks

Zoner's Tools light the whole map to "fullbright" if there are no lights or if there's a LEAK.

surely they dont light the map at all, I thought fullbright was what the engine does to a map without any RAD information

Hm, well, it's not dark. It's been lit, just not with any selectivity.

I've had the same problem once try to check if you haven't got any texture with ~ (light) inside a wall or something or if you have a light inside a wall too. if you can't compile with zonner tools but with hammer original tools you can but have that problem do that. go to only used textures and mark that texture.put the map in the map vault zone and maybe a give a look to that.
