Everytime I go to run a map in Valve Hammer I get an error message that reads: The command failed. Windows reported an error: "The system cannot find the file specified"

I noticed that there are no BSP files being made in my map folder, perhaps that is the problem? Also If I go into the console it says the map cannot be found on the server.

PLEEEEEEEEASE HELP!

Post the compile log, all the writing in the grey box when you hit "Compile" in Hammer.

Use Zoner's Half-Life Tools to compile instead of the default and outdated Quake-tools. If you need help setting them up, look at this tutorial.

If you still get the error, look at the god-of-all-error pages here. I reckon that's pretty much everything you'll ever need in mapping! :)

I had that error when I started mapping...it means you set up HL incorrectly.

First get ZHLT like Seventh-Monkey said, then take the space and parens out of the name.

Just call it desert, not desert (large scale). Spaces and punctuation all cause problems.

Token too large on line 6

What does that mean?

If you still get the error, look at the god-of-all-error pages here.
The orange text's a link? It's almost certainly because of the space in the map name.

I found the problem. I was using 9 different wads. If you are using more than 8 it messes up. Take the extras out, restart and try compiling :D :D
