OK, what I want to do is apply a a trigger_hurt to a func_rotate. What I mean is, I want the trigger_hurt to be attached to the rotating brush so that where my brush (func_rotate) is circling, the trigger_hurt circles with it. I dont want blocking damage, as that is no help, because nothing is blocking it, and if you stand in front of this rotating object, it just pushes you around in a circle.

How do I make my rotating object inflict PAIN upon impact with me!! I also do not wish to increse the speed of my rotating object to do so.

Is there a trick to making this happen? Thank you all so much...love the site, by the way.

A lemmings av! Wee!

If it rotates fast enough, just make a trigger_hurt that covers the whole area of the rotating object, but there's no way to attatch entities to other entities except the mod Spirit.

Hehe. It is actually Psygnosis.....but Lemmings is the best gmae ever right next to HL....fan since '91.....

Anyway, thanks for your prompt response. I decided to add an invisible brush rotating in the opposite direction of the other....there by smashing the interloper....but it appears as if the visible object runs into you...pushes you a little, and then....instant death

I have figured out yet another way to do this, and it is even better. You put a func_wall brush that is 1 unit off of the ground, and 1 unit in width. Make it invisible (Render: Solid FX: 0). Make the length as wide as the rotating object. When the rotating object pushes you, you will be push up against this invisible wall, and you will die, given the proper damage amount when blocked!

I put 8 different brushes on the ground, but you can put more if you want a more realistic "moving death object". It appears as if the rotating object hits you, and then death!

Btw, you do not ever even notice these brushes when walking over them.....they are so small.

P.S. I could submit a tutorial map for this if you would like. :)

This is brilliant solid mapping stuff,
Well done.
Place it in the example maps.
