I got a really cool idea for a mod. You work as an excavation team who has to go and explore an underground nuclear facility. You start off in the helicopter which will be quite simaler to the one at the beggining of opposing force. You are inside a clip brush on a func train and you go through triggers. Then there is some text on the screen. It fades out and changes level so you have landed in a lobby (you have landed through a hole in the roof) and there is loads of broken pillars supporting the ceiling and there is dim light but loads of bright light coming though the hole in the roof.
You walk through into the next room with your team (who all have a prisoner or gag flag to make em follow you) and there is a dead security guard and a headcrab or two. You also have one or two barnies in your team to help you. Now, there is a control panel and an old rusty elevator in the middle of the room which you need to go in. You ride it through the shaft watching all of the underwater part through a window (the place is in a cave under the water).
Half-way down the shaft there is a level change and there is an alarm and a announcement with the "VOX" set of sounds that they use as announcements on the original HL. Now, when you arrive at the bottom, it is a lobby and it is slightly flooded and there is loads of broken machinery. This is where the real part of the mod begins.
Thats what I have thought of so far. It should be fairly easily mappable. I might model some new things for it, code some little eye-candy things like a new HUD, or a weapon or two. I will probably do Me2 from VERC's Atomic Houndeye and I might do the HL2 style Zombie tutorial from VERC. I will follow some tutorials from this site to make stuff and I will also do some from Vlatitude as well to help me.
Please post feedback, ideas, criticism and what you think of it! Also, suggest some names for it. I will do all of the mapping myself and it won't be left alone for ages like Black-Death was. Oh, a note about Black-Death, as you have seen it on ModDB recently, this is indicating to you all that I will finish it soon!
