Can hint brushes touch each other? Does it matter? does it hurt them?

I don't think so. Just means more "cuts", and more textures. I don't se why you'd want to get into that situation in the first place.

Its a good idea to learn how to visblock without hints, and then when you feel confident, advance in terms of detail and visblocking...
