How do you make each player start with a knife, and only a knife for example? And how do you put a weapon on the floor for pickup?

Ok I figured out how to place a weapon on the map, but how do you get the player to start with only a knife?

You are just the type of person that makes me stay away from TWHL. Instead of searching the forum you just post away, asking a question that's been answered at least a dozen times.

I'll stop back in a few weeks to see if the public has gotten any smarter, but I doubt it will happen. Like Foamy says, "People are f$%*ing stupid!!!"

i just got that from an old post of mine ( i asked the same question :) ) ive not used it yet and i just looked in hammer and i dont even have that entity, maybe its cuz im using 3.5 i dunno...sry i couldnt be more help

I've got it now. Using Expert FDG(GD?) I created a brush and set it to "player_weaponstrip" and it will make the brush big, just set it big enough and over your spawn points (or the whole map). Then make a armoury_entity or game_player_equip over your spawn points. You must not have it because you need the Expert file, I'll get a link for ya.

Uh, did you not try that even after craash recommended it?

By the way, the "help" in brackets next to Forums is a link to the forum function guide, text formatting and suchlike ;)

Anyway, y'seem fairly intelligent from your posts. Please excuse craash, there've been a lot of stupid posts from people who're just lazy rather than don't know what's going on. In future, I recommend searching the forums at the top-right before posting.

I know how it is man, I attend the Xbox forums and you will not believe the type of stuff we get there. You tell somebody that the sky is blue, and they will come back a week later, spamming in caps, saying, "why is the sky cinnamon".And yes, I did research and that is how I got my answer.
