if you give any monster additive and fx amount 255 they are clear and glow a little bit
zeeba-g made that comment in the map vault, and I just HAD to test it out! It looks freaky... as if they are a ghost. It's cool!

No need to make war about such a thing. Changing render modes isn't spectacular to us anymore but it's nice to find out new things, didn't we all had that (and still have... :))?

hey i dont know if anyones tried this so dont go all out on me if its been done, but i made a ghostly thing with a grunt in my map, its pretty cool, puts that ghost effect to good use. try it from my profile i dont know how to attach it to a post :P

The assassins became party invisible sometimes when you played HL on hard... very irritating indeed...

Someone sent me a map recently that had some invisible grunts in it...But they were only totally invisible in Software mode.
VERY frustrating.
So much so that it detracted from what was a good map.
Be careful with things like this and test across all platforms.

Why don't you guys make something like in the resident evil movie whereas the scientist are walking in a hallway but there ghost, you know like the girls flashback of the place..
It would also be cool to make a mod of you being a phycic and you solve mysteries(deaths) You walk into a room and you see something happen, then it dissapears and... and.. a a a a n n n n d d d anyway.
