HEllo i know i have posted so many topics but i really suck and need help i can never find any tutorials that have what i need! so anyways is there a way to make your own viecle in hl??

You mean like a drive-anywhere car? I think you need to put an orign bush somewhere in the car.

Errr, I thought you could only do this in Counter-Strike not Half-Life. The closest to a car that you will get in Half-Life is a drivable train that runs on a track. You can adjust the speed but that's it. You can make cars in Counter-Strike. They are pretty buggy though and drive like shopping carts.

Yeah, I'm mapping for Cstrike. Oops. Although the Invasion MOD had a drivable tank that actually handled like one...not a tracktrain either. A fully drivable tank. 360* movement, free driving...Wheee!

You'd need the fgd too. I don't think it'd work...worth a try however.

Or you could always take a look at the code for CS, then look at the code for Half-Life, compare the two, find the car bit and put it into the Half-Life dll and make a new mod! Very rough idea...

hmm, if you would include the counterstrike dll's in your map.zip file and make sure they come in the right folder you should have the cs entinitys in hl.
That would be making a mod, Pepper. Wich is quite useless as you could simply make a CS map too... Besides, the game doesn't use the dlls of two mods together...
You'd need the fgd too.
Not necessary. It's possible to map without anything in your fgd, or a totally wrong/different fgd. It's pretty hard though as you'll have to enter all entity names yourself, and their keys and values, but it's possible.

hmm, if you combine the 2 dll's and then make the car contols and entinity itself in your fgd. it should work. and you include a warining in your zip that it will replace your orignal dll's of hl, it should be possible!!

You can only combine 2 dlls with the source code, Ive tried putting to game dll's in onr liblist and it crashed Half Life. But if your just trying to make a car and not a mod that supports most of the cs stuff, you might want to not try this...

ah, yes you can make those yourself. use the textures as reference and make sure you are going to use a lot of vertex manipulation it can cause weird errors
