How many people sign up/day now? Must be quite a few! Good going, atom, the webmaster, and everyone who answers everyone's q's and looks at, uh, people's stuff.

Actually, that question at the beginning wasn't rhetorical, actually wanted to know it's the point (if there is any) of this post!

the site is gaining popularity, theres no doubt about it... which can only be a good thing. With HL2 on the horizon its good to see that hl is still as popular than ever, and hopefully, the game and the website will continue to be.

I imagine lots of this will still be relevant for HL2? Will the site contain HL2-specific stuff?

Of course! Providing the game ever arrives.

In August we averaged just over 2 registrations a day (that's up from about 1 a day for a June / July, and 0.2 before then).

And we got 5 today

Well, 'parently that date in November (31st)? is semi-official now... I'm glad, gives me longer to save up and upgrade!

Will the old HL1 tuts. still be here? Will anyone actually continue mapping for HL1? Don't know if my comp. can handle HL2.

Of course we will continue mapping for Hl. Since HL2 is going to insanely advanced in map design, most new to mapping will certainly choose to begin mapping in HL.

I will always be here for HL1. I have a crappy home machine that wont handle HL2 and I think I am getting too old to learn new tricks (woof).

Well, I'm staying here, and prolly still mapping for a long time on '1!

Yep, TWHL will have HL1 tuts forever! There's an easy way to add new sections for tuts, so that's what we'll do when HL2 arrives.

You should start charging, btw that will you cost you 40% of the intake per year just for the idea
