I was working on a map and needed to clip my brush. I accidentaly toggled these little dimension numbers when I tried to clip on, a pic is at the link.

It's a helpful tool, but the usage of it was buried in the Hammer manual, and doesn't look commonly used. It's toggled on/off by pressing o when you have a brush selected in Clip mode. It makes precise clipping a whole lot easier, so for all of you who never knew about it, give it a try.

Hopefully, you'll find this useful.

Happy mapping.

...why did I make a bad link? Ugh...too late at night. I don't think straight. :zonked:

That should work.

...nevermind. They don't allow hotlinking, just remembered that.

You can go to http://dhost.info/RabidMonkey777/img and look near the top if youre so inclined to, or search the Hammer manual for 'Reshaping Solids' and look under 'Clip Planes'.

Goes to the Hammer manual because both suggestions from Rabid didn't work.

I'd go for a better host if I were you. I was with them for a short time but left because of the hotlinking stuff.

I might get a different image host, but stick with them for bandwith and space...havent found anywhere else free for 100mb/300gb.

Yea.. find a host for your site, and use them as a mirror site ;)

do they allow that?

Probably. They're pretty flexible. If Imageshack supports hotlinking and such, I'll just make them my image server and Dhost my file/page server.

Yeah they do.
I read the Hammer help file and tried it. Very handy indeed.

It would be pretty stupid of Imageshack to stop hotlinking

Imageshack know what they're doing, the recently increased the max file size, so they're going in the right direction.
visit the Clan of the Dead Goat Forums, there's a post there about someone allowing people to host infinite amounts of files (which will never be deleted) with a max size of 50MB, simply because he was sick of 'dead links' and wanted to help others out, so try it =P

rabid, get a .tk account and shorten your websites length. Instead of being http://dhost.info/RabidMonkey777, .tk allows you to make it www.rabidmonkey777.tk :D or whatever.tk :) Its very much like cjb.net, exept .tk is a whole lot shorter to type than .cjb.net.

Go to www.dot.tk to get one. :)

I got a .tk account but haven't set it up yet. Have to get around to that soon.

As for teh 50mb host, I'll look into that. Thanks, all.
