What program is used to make the titles movies in the splash screens of certain mods? I really want to have a moving title for Life Gear.

life gear? is that a mod ur making?

Yes it is, Ive only been takling about it for the past week, now, do you know how to make a moving logo?

Well most good image edting programs provide some basic functions for making simple movies.
GIMP with the GAP package.
Afaik PSP can do this too.
You could also use a 3d modelling program with a renderer.
Blender.
But this requires some training to use these programs.
Maybe you should just leave it out and use a still image.

It only shows those logo.avi movies in WON builds, afaik.

Dont care about the won/steam deal. Life Gear is a WON game, its not online so it wont interfere with anything, unless you got stupid and decided to delete your original folder.

Which most people did. If you want your mod to be played and your work to be seen by a wider audience, it should be designed with Steam in mind. Just a thought....

Nah! Either make it for both, steam and won, or won only.
There are more people playing HLSP mods with the normal HL.

Or there should be, steam single player games take forevr on map changes where as WON take about 2 seconds.
