i know that that works.. but when lest say u go in a map like scoutzknivez.. when u go into the buy zone it says "terrorists aren't allowed to buy anything on this map"

Use an info_map_parameters, and set Weapon_Buying to Neither CT's nor T's can buy guns.

Although that doesn't always work, so move the buyzone somewhere inaccessible too/instead.

look mate, learn to use grammer and make your questions eligible, or i'm just going to stop answering them, it took me 3 minutes to get the jist of that =/

you only need one of eitehr of thsoe entities.
there is an example map in the example maps vualt, named aim map example or some sh*t.

you need two func_buyzones, put them in a high corner of your map, totally unreachable, now open one's properties (hihglight it, then press Alt+Enter) and set the Team to Counter Terrorist, open the other buyzones properties and select terrorist only.

now no-one can buy,
I would advise not using both buyzones and an info_map_parameters, as this will cause errors, when you think about it; you have two entities trying to do opposite jobs with teh same function, ie buying.

don't use the map_parameters anyway, it sucks and doens't work all teh time.

Very good Peace and love.
But I will add that the buyzones should be as small as possible, because with all the plugins like WC3, people can practically fly and stuff and once someone has figured out where the buyzone is, it could ruin the map.

well i already have my lil room so ill throw em in there

meh, it's a waste of faces, null the room, I make my buyzones 16 units squared, it's small enough to be able to fly past it, and big enough to edit easily (ie: find the damn thing :P), but that's just preference, plus i figure it can't hurt to have them a reasonable size, that way.. no errors etc

only reason i dont wanna do that is because, in superhero mod, u can be that crawler person, and u get noclip, so u can buy stuff at buyzone
so the entity is best =D

Yeah, I understand your point.

However, the info_map_parameters entity is unstable at times, and while it works on some maps, it's not guaranteed that it will. I know what you're thinking, deagle_series and scouts_etc, but hey, can't always be right huh!

anyway, if you're worried about that, just make a room half way across the hammer grid space, ain't no-one gonna fly that far.

If the admin messes around, maps're bound to be screwed.

I think you guys are making an issue out of nothing here. The chances that someone will
a) find the 16x16 unit cubes, in the sky, in the corner, of which they can fly past and will have no idea where the corner actually is.

and
b) be able to stay still long enough to hover and buy stuff, without being shot from the ground, or whatever.

I think the possibilities are so minute that it's not even worth arguing about, and if someone is no-clipping and using whacky gravity then chances are your map's not being played the way you intended and it doesn't matter what they find. Or how they piss about.
