You could start by briefly telling us what you did... Did you actually place any lights in your map? Or did you accidentally have a leak? Since that causes the map to be full-bright...

Oh, and maybe it'd be good to read some of the beginners tutorials on this site. Most problems like these are already covered there...

Did you set up Hammer and your compile process correctly? E.g. do HLVIS and HLRAD run on the map?

Please post your compile log, could be helpfull to us here.

Heh, I still use q tools for short compiles. It wouldn't make a difference qhether I was using z tools or q tools because both are only a few snods. I use z tools for bigger maps though. Anyway on the the problem.

Show the vis and rad portion of your log. The problem is most likely in there somewhere. Unless you didn't RUN vis and rad. Then there lies your problem!!!!

The Z tools are faster so I see no point using the Q tools... these may even cause problems with Z-specific things, so why still use the Q anyway?

And you are only running CSG and BSP. Run VIS and RAD too, because RAD is for the lighting...

The Q-tools are utterly worthless and should be completely avoided.
