I think that a horror compo wouldn't be so good. It would attract a large amount of entries, and most of them won't even be worth playing. Making horror maps is easy. Making a good horror map isn't too hard. Making a great horror map which is actually scary takes much skill.
I'm sure the compo winner will take this into account when he gets to choose the next compo.

worldcraft dude, I hate to have to say this, but the idea of a comp is not to theme it around a map you already have, but to see what you can create based on teh ideas of another.

Hehe. I suppose he is waiting for the next compo to see if its a Horror Comp. But as my first post in this thread said, it really wouldn't be a good idea IMO.

anyway there is a horror map competition on floaters site
i was going to enter it but your only allowed to make one map and to scare somebody i needed to make a map pack otherwise its cramped and not scary :
