hammer 3.4 no entitys

Well I installed hammer 3.4 and filled in everything for the game configurations but when i map and create an entitiy there is no entitys on the list. How can i fix this ?

when you click on the entitys tool and click and area of your map then right click the green box and creat entity then right click again and select properties. can you get that far?

you probably need and fgd, if you're mapping for cs, get this:
