Right, I've got a texture that I'd very much like see-through on the blue areas.
It is:
  • a 8-bit .bmp
  • named {blingfence
  • last colour in the pallette (index 256) is all-blue (0 0 255)
  • turned into func_illusionary with "Solid" mode and "255" amt.
  • turning up blue in-game.
WTFOMG

Ok.. there has to be a bug with something other than the game?

Otherwise.. something awful is going to happen.. like... crappy blue in game :(

Make sure that blue area is really "blue" (0 0 255) and if it is the last collor of the pallette.... It's make difference..... :

Are you running in Open GL or software mode. It's weird, some but not all of my maps will not show see-through in software mode. Always works in Open GL, though.

OpenGL sometimes masks the Blue, as black for me - if i don't set the right properties.

OpenGL.
Let this thread die, I just chose a different texture... it's damn annoying that I can't make see-through brushes though ;

Hmm... try using render mode Texture or addictive and fx amount 255
:roll:

I got this problem one time too, with something... I forgot what. Try remaking it, not cutting and pasting from the original, but remaking it. That fixed it for me.
