I've made a stupid glock map for HalfLife1 : Counter-Strike
Inside the map i've added a button which makes the water go up. now the only problem is, how do i decide how high will it go, and for how long will it stay in such a higheit? :
  • If some could make some tuts about func_button and some more enetitys it will be great :o
Thanks

i don't think that you can change the distance the wate rise,
but to get around this you could try and place water furfure under the floor to make it seem to raise less and nearer to the floor to make it seem that the water is risind more... hope that helps :)

Try using a func_train. the entitys path_corner will define height and time. I?ve never used one with water, but I guess it?ll be allright. Try the tutorial about elevators, in this site (Great stuff. Easy and objective).

You can too make the water go any height.
func_Water works just as a func_door - it goes as far as it really is

Lets say the water is 250 units high - when triggered it will go up 250 units, leaving nothing under it.

This, however, can be changed with the nifty "Lip" value.
The lip value defines how long the water or door will not go.

So if the water is 250 units high with a lip value of 50 it will go 200 units up.
Lip can be negative - lets say the lip of this one is -100... the water will then go 350 units up.
