I set up an env_fog, set it to "start active" and set its hold time to 0, so it will stay foggy. But when I compied the map there was no fog.
I do have cl_weather turned on.

the env_fog does'nt work worldcraft dude. Only the HL2 engine it will work. You have to make custom fog.. heres an example map:

Well is there any way to make visibility less in 1.6 the further you look?

huh, good question, I guess you could try using the trigger_changecvar entity for the "Spirit of Half-life dll" and edit the gamma, or something.. I'll have to try it. Thanks for the insight.. I'm going to give it a try.

Im already using Spirit to make Nightmare and Life Gear, but this question has been fro cs 1.6 the whole time. But I guess 1.6's fdg has all the same envs, and all the envs work the same. So, this would be online and therefore impossible to create makeshift fog like that for each player, thanks for you help anyway.

Fog does work in Spirit. Make sure the start on flag is checked :)
