im having trouble aligning textures on doors with made out of 2 brushes that move in opposite directions (one peice moves up while the other moves down) when the door is triggered. im trying to use one texture for both peices (LAB1_DOOR2A) so that half is on peice and the other half is on the other peice but i cant get it to align right using the texture application window. i tried hitting align up and down and playing around with the X and Y values but they still dont fit right. is there something im overlooking?

In the 'Find' box, on the upper right of this page, type in 'func_door', change the 'in' box to 'Tutorials' and click 'go' tab. Read Atom's tutorial on Doors.

ya i read that before, it tells about the door entity itself but nothing that would help my problem of texture alignment.

Oh right<apologizes for not reading>, use 'face properties' to scale, align, and rotate the textures so they match up.

Maybe you can post a screenshot, then we will be able to see what your problem is. :)

Using your texture tool, select both halves of the door, then tick 'treat as one'. Then tweak it to how you need it to be.

Do you mean the textures, appearing backwords? not facing the right way?
This can be fixed by putting a "-" infront of the x, or y texture size.
