I believe the winner will be revealed today. Has anyone heard any news about this? The SnarkPit is down, so I can't eavesdrop there.

I am itching to play the winning map, but I am even more curious to find out about the winner himself/herself. This is better than the Oscars last night.

It would be pretty sweet if someone from TWHL won. We could have a party! :P

Apart from Kasperg, did anyone else from here enter?

Wouldn't it be great if, like, all the top three were TWHLers keepin' quiet :).

Well, its almost March the 2nd here, and STILL NO BLOODY NEWS OR ANYTHING.

Very disappointing.

Can someone point me to a relyable source where it says the results are due out on the 28th?

The peepz at Valve are busy screwing up CSS with dumb patches, that's why. :x

Soon.... =F

Dumb patches? Blasphemy! The latest one had de_train, which kicks serious ass.

I don't think it's that great. I was a real train-lover of the original, it was my best map. I think the new lighting and texturing, especially of the main yard, is nasty.

I loved it.... I thought it was bloody brilliant. The T spawn absolutely rocked. I think it is probably the 2nd best official CS:S map (behind Office) - And I'm glad, as Office and Train were both my favourite maps.

Compound was completely gay though.

Yeah, it's mostly great, 'cept it's lost that slightly dim muted feel at site... A, I think it is. Y'know, the big open one - plus the lack of shadows on the trains looks utterly ridiculous (and gives you nowhere to hide).

Yes it did, but it didn't have the solution to either the HUGE lag problem many suffer from (me included) nor the dodgy hiboxes.

De_train seems lame if you consider that..

Sometime in March :

The hitboxes are fixed. Afaik, at least.

I agree, Train has some issues. The content it provides, though, is really useful for the type of maps I'm creating, maybe that's why I like it so much :P
