Just curious. (Probably a n00b question)

I've played some maps in the past that have had custom textures but i haven't needed to download any wads and they aren't from the orignal HL either.

How can i do this?

I should probably have to post this in the hl2 mapping questions forum, but does anyone know of an equivalent -material_include parameter for HL2? What is the standard procedure for that? :(

Get the Compilation Controller, and then its just a flag you check. And it will include the textures.. I did this with "My Truck" map.

just use "-wadinclude urban" without the .WAD

(by the way, there's a BSPZIP tool in the source sdk bin folder that helps you add custom files to your hl2 bsp)

And if you want to take a wad out of a map that has used wadinclude, just use BSP 2 map.

-nowadtextures includes all textures in the binary space partition btw.

-wadinclude is more efficent and produces smaller files.
