I have an abominable fear of hieghts.. Dont know why, but i cant take planes, go on rollercoasters or climb too high..

Heights. Well, actually, it's not so much a fear, I don't think, as a fear of jumping off, connected with a desire to fly, reckoned an RAF pilot I flew with once. Yes, I'm perfectly fine flying, and petrified up a tall church tower or a lighthouse.

I have a fear of balloons.

Its not balloons in general, but blowing them up. I have a fear that it will somehow pop while I'm blowing into it, and get lodged in my throat.

I also have a fear of knowing too much. I strive to understand and know more and more, but I also fear that when learning "too much", I will be shocked to find out something that I really didn't want to know, such as if there is "Destiny". I don't like destiny. In fact, I really don't want to know "What happens" before it does happen. I prefer the idea that I can make my own choices and from those choices an outcome will... well... come. Its not like being in the movie theater, watching Titanic, and the guy next to you wispers "The boat sinks". Its much more than "ruining the ending". Its more of a control issue with me. Such that I want to control the outcome of the movie.

I fear pointy objects pointing towards me. I always have visions of them taking flight into my eye or sumthing. It just makes my eye feel weird, too.

This is a wierd one, and I'd really like to know what the hell is going on here:

I go INSANE if people chew on knitted jumpers or anything woollen it seems to do something to my mouth/teeth. I can't explain it, I just flip out and my skin crawls.

The other similar one, I cannot pull apart cotton balls or put cotton anywhere near my mouth. Even thinking about it right now is freaking me out.

I believe its just the "Ebbe Jeebies". Most people get it with fingers on a chalkboard, and such. It probably has to do with the reaction between rough objects. Your skin is obviously rough with all the fingerprints.

To be honsest, I get it when eating certain foods. Its the consistancy that really causes it. When something rubs against something, it creates a "noise". Rough against rough usually makes a wierd sound, probably mentally undetected by the ears, but physically detected by the censory crap in your fingers, and subconciously taken in through your ears. These together create discomfort in the brain, cause what we call the "Ebie Jeebies", or "Freaking out".

Many things can cause this odd reaction, but it is usually seen with "Rough on Rough". I guess the wool and cotton balls being pulled apart has a similar affect on you as fingers on a chalkboard has to the average person. I actually have learned to accept this feeling. In fact, it really doesn't affect me anymore since tried to "get it" so many times (Fingers on chalkboard). I finally grew adapt to it, and it no longer bothers me.

My advice to you, start pulling apart those cotton balls apart by the hundreds. Accept the feeling, don't fight it. While you do this, your back may "constrict". Its pretty much the spinal coard trying to "Take in" this feeling. Don't worry, everything is fine. It really has no harsh physical affect on you.

My biggest fear is the sea, or ocean -- basically sharks, and the massive depth. I can't stand the thought of swimming in shark infested waters. If I was forced to swim in the ocean, I'd rather put a gun to my head and blow my fcking brains out it seems.

I fear spiders, only when I am too near to one or they happen to be crawling on my. I dont mind looking at them though, I find them highly interesting. When I was a kid I used to feed them out in the garden to really test my fear. The worst was when I fed a live earthworm to one huge bitch ass spider who sucked it up like spaghetti, biting it in half -- it was sick.

I dont like closed spaces, like elevators either.

Anyway I conquered my fear of heights a few years ago when I walked along an assault course high above the trees and no rope to support me and whats worse, thorn bushes below :S

Man I was scared but I made it and was happy, I had slippery shoes!

Planes, cuz I've never been in one. So I have this fear that when I eventually fly, the plane will crash.

Bees, cuz I got stung when I was little, and now I totally freak out everytime I hear that buzzing noise. I seriously can't help it

Planes are great fun. Bees are fine, they won't hurt you, wasps are the bitches. Only things I kill. Maybe that's a phobia.

I hate Spiders, they terrify me, maybe cause it's because my real father had a turantula he'd let out of the cage..meh.

Spiders are fine. Except some species which are very disgusting. I remeber once a couple of years ago I was in the basement of a mountain hostel and it was infested with some wired ones. They had large flat (about 0.5cm in diameter) almost circular bodies and extremely thin an long legs (something like 5cm). They sit still on the wall, floor and ceiling like if they were squished, but if you disturb them they get up high on their legs and run fast like some tenticle monsters... The place was swarming with them and the larger ones had small bright red spheres all over their bodies and sometimes even the legs!

I also fear sharp objects pointed at me. Just like IEMC I've got the wired feeling they're going to pop up any minute and hit me in the eye.

Sometimes when I start thinking about the meaning of life, boundaries of the universe and such things I get a wired feeling that makes me feel sick and discouraged like if I were struck by a sonic pulse.

Injuries make me feel freaked out. Don't get me wrong I have no problem watching 'ER' or Realty TV but when I see something like this live I feel sick like if I was injured. I can feel the skin ripped apart, the fervent blood flowing out of the wound, even the touch of the object that cased the injury. If I don't turn back soon I start getting sick and might even blackout. This isn't that bad, because I have the same 'skill' with food and drinks - I can experience about 30% of the pleasure that I'll have if I eat something without even touching it.

I fear tiny insects and ants.
I'm afraid that they will crawl up my legs and then into my body trough any random hole.

Urb, I've never managed to get two spiders against each other, that would be cool. I once put an injured wasp in a spider nest to see what the reaction would be, pretty damn fierce. The wasp escaped pretty beaten up. I also tried a beatle, but when I went to get it the beatle actually some how managed to bite me -- I didn't even know those fckers bite but this one sure as hell dang bit me!

I thought about feeding one a garden spider, the ones that sit in the middle of their webs, but they can actually bite if provoked so I was too chicken shit.
