I have been playing counter strike source for quit a while now, and so i decided to build a map. i know all the basics, but then i want to make the CTs and Ts start out with certain weapons and ammo, and i saw your tutorial on it, and it says to create a multi_manager. i looked at your website, and every other website, it it just too complicated for me.

When i click on the entity tool, and i look in the list (off to the right), there is NO entity named multi_manager. i have looked for at least an hour on how to do this, but i cant figure it out.

can you please leave a short tutorial on how to create a entity, very basic...

multi_managers are old entities. Now, we use the entity Input/Output system. Using the appropriate tabs in the entity properties, you add outputs to other entities to fire triggers like a multi_manager.

oh.. ok.. thanks.. LOL... dang.. they changed that and noone said ne thing :nuts: lol

So if i wanted to make the CTs, and Ts start out with Deagles every round, (and maybe add some ammo if posible), what would i put in the input and output, (what menu has this input and out put, i know the enitiys do, but which one am i suppost to use?)

You need to use a game_player_equip (If I recall.)

ok.. thank you a million...

But what do i put into the input/output fields, i looked at it, and i dont know what i should put in them... could you just show me what i would put in it for having deagles only with some ammo..?

^^nevermind.. i figured it out... all you have to do is get the game_player_equip, go to proporites, uncheck smartedit, then click add, put in what ever weapon you want, change the value to 1, and then click ok.. then add one more for other guns.

But.. i have another question...

i put in all the values, (weapon_ak47, weapon_usp, and weapon_knife), it all works, but what could i add to give the weapons ammo?
i tried buy item_primammo, but it doesn't work.. what else?

Look at the Equipping Weapons tutorial. I think they're largely the same. Google for HL? cheats, I think I found some easily that included CS:S ammo names a while ago.

i read a post at steampowered.com forums, and it said that valve delibertly took out the ammo entity, and people are getting pretty mad over it, so i don't think there is a way to do that.... i just went around it and created a buy zone, which sucks, i wanted a m4 map only, with at lease 1 reload, but i can't do that...
