I have a problem with this idea of overlapping brushes.
During the course of making my map, I paid extra extra attention everytime i joined brushes together, that their was no leak.
I have learned that the term 'leak' is like taking your whole map underwater, and if water is dripping/pouring in your map, then u have a leak. So when i m joining two walls together, i purposely overlap them just to be extra safe. So how can that be causing a leak?

My 2nd map that i created (which is huge and very complicated) has many over lapping brushes. Therefore if that is dangerous, how can i pinpoint brushes that are overlapping? (lol 80% of all the walls are purposely overlapping)

BTW, in my first map, i joined 2 rooms together and overlapped the brushes, the map worked fine.

Thanks in Advance (This is TrueBlue, last time the site didnt recognize me and i was named anonymous)

Um, what was that about water? No, leaks are gaps in the level which leak into the void, or entities in the void. And don't overlap brushes ever, just have 'em touching each other.

He said like - that's quite a good analogy. What Vassy said is true, though. Sorry.

Overlapping brushes causes the engine to draw places were the player actually cant see, creating increased r_speeds...
i think, lol

water, eh? reminds me of a few things with water. vassy 1nce said he tried making a map out of (what he didnt know was) a water texture. leak. remember water shouldnt touch the void. and also if you want 2 retexture the water dont just select it and click the retexture button, make a new brush with the chosen texture. i retextured water once and it all turned solid.
