Not strictly speaking as far as I know, although I suppose you could have a large trigger_hurt set just above solid surface that looks like water...

Could you be more specific about what you mean by boat?

Do you mean a smaller boat that you can steer, or just a large boat on water that floats?

If you want to make a boat, just do the same thing you would with a car, only, put it on the water. I would warn you though, the cars in CS are just itching with errors, and I would not recommend implementing them into your map at all.

Either a func_tracktrain following a preset path or fake the water as a solid.

You could use a func_pushable to make a boat and it would bob up and down and would drift but it wouldnt be streerable and it would be unpowered.

The car entity does not work sadly...Ages ago I made a boat and placed it on water, it floated fine but as soon as I drove it an inch ZOOOM it fell straight to the bottom :(

Im afraid your wrong there habboi, it is extremly buggy, but it works(fine) sometimes. I recall playing a map for Counter-Strike called cs_boatland2, or something very similair to that.

You probably put the entinity's the wrong way around.

Sounds cool, you think you could show a screeny of what your boat looks like when its done plz.... And also if you get it to work what you did EXACTLY, i want to make a boat map but didnt find anything on it so i figured it was not a good idea to try it/ wasnt possible... :biggrin:

could you maybe make water, and make a very skinny brush (Like 1 unit thick) over it or mabe like 4 units below the top water level and drive your car/boat over it still???

P.S. make the very skinny brush invisible....????

No you must be able to swim under the boats, ? fon?t want to make a all-crapp-map... But i figured it out, you make a regular car that looks like a boat, but the origin brushmust be over the water, that was the only thing that worked for me.
