well i compiled my map and i got strange lag there. r_speeds are max 300 but it's lagging like a biatch. any ideas what could cause this lag?

Epolys!?! : And hint brushes decreases the wpolys but increases the ms and fps a bit!

Must be a lot of models, sprites, or something else.

Or start learning how to use the NULL entity/brush thingy found while looking for textures (if you got the new compiler tools... duh?)

i know how to use null...
there are no models or sprites there are just few brushes. in screenie ju won't see anything usefull as there are 3 brushes. one cube like and others 8 sided

Whats the ms and the fps? Post the compiling log and chack for problems!

maybe its that your computer is running low on space and when running half life lowers your space to lagging point.
If that isnt the case, then post a compile log like elon said and maybe some records of r_speeds?

Put on sv_cheats 1, gl_wireframe 2, developer 1, and then r_speeds 1, in that order, and give us a screenshot of it lagging.

my HDD is not full i don't have any viruses my resolution is not high (1024*768) and r speeds don't go above 300. i can't give you the screenie as i'm not at home now.
