I don't know if anyone will know this but I figured I ask anyway. Does anyone know how to install the high definition weapons (M4, Combat Shotgun, USP) that came with Blue Shift into a mod? I can't seem to find the file that modifies the original weapon models. If anyone knows, please let me know. - HeAdCrAb KILLA

In blue shift's auto-run menu you will see an install high def packs button! Press it and start the install, all the other stuff are really easy to understand! :)

You can run the autorun.exe from the Blue-Shift CD then search your Half-Life folder for the required .pak file.

pak1.pak for HL
pak2.pak for blue shift and opposing force

Sequentialy ordered pak files replace the models in a the pak file before them.

e.g:

lets say you have a file v_9mmar.mdl in the pak0.pak (the low defenition pak)
and a high-def v_9mmar.mdl in the pak1.pak, the file in the pak1.pak replaces the file in the pak0.pak.

I think that there is also a tutorial on this at TWHL. ;)

you might need to rename some models though because they may be named differently.
