C:SteamSTEAMA~1SHAZBO~1.COMCOUNTE~1cstrikemaps "map"
  • Windows gave the error message:
"Access is denied."

I think this might be from messing up in your configurations... make sure all the paths in Build Programs are correct.

Have you actually configured anything in the Build Programs tab?

Have you switched to Expert for compiling or turned everything off? Are your compile tools in the same drive as everything else?

Looks a bit like the bug I had..
After "saving" the map,, I got that error when I tried to compile..
It appared that I hade to save my map as MAPNAME.RMF else, it wouldn't make it an RMF..
This is a guess, I saw this:
Parameters: "S:counter-strikecstrikemapsmap1"
it is not saying .RMF or .MAP
I mught be wrong though

Put the compile tools in the 'tools' directory in the 'Valve Hammer' directory (c:Program FilesValve Hammer Editor by default, I think).

Post screenshots of your configuration tabs and the dialog that you get up when you hit F9.

You don't run vis or rad.
Your game dir. is "c:STEAM/steam.exe" (dunno if the quote marks (") are ok and if STEAM.EXE means your hl.exe.. ) :|

Remove everything in the Textures list, move the WADs to a sensible place ("C:Program FilesValve Hammer Editorresources" would be a good idea), re-add the textures from there, and you should be away.

Look in the directory where you're saving the RMF, and don't capitalise stupidly: it makes it difficult to read.

Aha! You're saving the RMFs into the Steam tree, and you shouldn't be. Put them in Valve Hammer Editormaps.
