Doubt it, they kinda went out in the, what, 70s? Anyway, jaardsi's all into Rogue-likes and shite (specially the Terry Pratchett one, whatever the name was).

Heh, I've actually written a text-game in QBasic, about a 10 years ago? I've played several in that time, mostly economic sims and stuff.

I've actually written a text-game in QBasicMe too! Although not so long ago. Maybe in 1997 or something like that. The game was complemented by a hand-drawn map. Quite fun!

I've played several in that time, mostly economic sims and stuff.Psh, my first BASIC game was a pong code I copied from a library book (like in the lyrics of "hey hey 16k"!) programming with ye olde ZX spectrum was like playing twister with your fingers. My first BASIC program was

Materia magica is one of the only remaining popular text adventues. its pretty fun once you get into it. two of my friends are die hard WoW adicts. and they loved it for a while. then another WoW patch came out and they forgot it.

nethack pwns. its a rogue based game, and has graphical tiles on newer pcs, and is available for windows, linux, palm (irogue) and ppc!
