I saw a screenshot someone posted in the TWHL discord where they made a scene using only solid colors and it looked amazing. So I decided to create this monstrosity.
This WAD contains 897 16x16 textures of just colors. You can use them for stylized scenes, or even prototyping. (You can also use really low texture scales on these textures to create some awesome shadows without worrying about texture repetition)
There should've been about 1100 colors, but the names of these files were longer than 16 so I couldn't put them into the wad without creating some weird abbreviations which are just going to cause headaches over time (I'm looking at you, halflife.wad)

Most of these color names I didn't recognize at all, so I'd recommend looking over the entire wad at least once to see what weird color variations you can find that'll better suit your scene. (White, Eggshell for example)

Original colors downloaded from https://www.solidbackgrounds.com/
No need to credit me though

I totally want to see a mapping competition where you can only use this WAD!

You could probably fit all 1100 colours if you use just the hex values for names e.g. COLOR<RRGGBB>. Has the unintended side effect of the alphabetical sort being quite logical too as it sorts by hex values.

...maybe I should attempt this myself.

I thought about doing something like that, but I personally prefer searching for colors with intelligible names, rather than sorting through a list of hex values

And just like that, epilepsy warnings across TWHL will increase 500%
