I've tried both, but they won't work; my OS is Vista 32-bit. atioglxx.dll makes Hammer crash whenever I try and load a map, and opengl32.dll just refuses to start the thing up.

Dawley, I am having the same exact problem as you are. I am running Vista Ultimate 32-bit, and I have the ATi Radeon HD 4890 installed. I can't select anything in the camera (3D) view, and this is quite annoying.
If anyone can offer any other suggestions for those running Vista (or at least Vista 32-bit), please let us know. Thank you.

The opengl32.dll file fixed the selection problem for me, but it lags really bad when moving around in 3D view. Running on a Vista 32-bit. For now I'm just happy I can select properly in 3D view, but if anyone knows how to get rid of the lag it would be much appreciated if you let me know.
I liked my Radeon 9800 Pro while it lasted, but I am with Nvidia from now on.
EDIT: I put the link in the article.
