Just got burnout paradise and need for speed undercover, the problem?
I don't have a rig to run either of them right now.
Hopefully getting a rig to play them soon, in the meantime, tell me about how awesome or crappy they are.
(Not undercover though, already played it, and love it, and i am well aware as to how negative people are to this game, so please, i don't need 100 'nfs sucked since underground' comments :C)
I'm not really into arcade-ish styled racing games like NFS and Burnout. I liked Midnight Club: LA, it was a bit arcade-ish, but not nearly the the same extent. I play a lot of Forza 3. Sim Racing > Arcade Racing. But if there is something with a decent balance, such as MCLA, then I can dig it.
Only 98 more to go.
My favourite racers are Midtown Madness 1, 2 and 3, Moto Racer 1 and 2 and Need for Speed 2. Trackmania's alright too.
I was never really into racing games, but I got Midtown Madness 3 with my Xbox. It was pretty fun. I never got a chance to play 1 or 2 though.
I can honestly say that i enjoyed playing. Although at some points the AI is just retardedly unfair.
How unfair?
Well you can buy the best car in the game.
You will go about 280mph with it, the computer will hit somewhere around 350.
Yeah. Something like that.
Other than that, stick with the Corvette z06 when you unlock it. It sounds like god when you modify it.
However, never played burnout paradise, tell me how awesome it is damnit :C
They've tried to turn a classic arcade game into a sandbox game and the gameplay suffers because of it. It does still have all the hallmarks of what makes burnout great though: intense pace, huge collisions and shortcuts all over the place.
It's a pretty obvious console -> PC port, but it's pulled off reasonably well once you change the controls so they're not retarded.
Looking forward to playing them, and probably playing a couple games with my friend, seeing as i don't really have anything else to give in return.
The game leaves little room for you to explore the different possibilities of cars. You have the muscle cars, the tuners, and the random useless cars.
But if you ever wanted to buy all the goodies for each car, there's no real means to do that. Unless you wanna bust baddies with the Cop cars, but that's just repetitive and boring because you're playing the same area of the map with the same 6 cars to bust.
And it got quite glitchy sometimes. - Cars spawning inside buildings, hitting random walls and falling through the floor... Coulda been the Wii though. It was probably WAY watered down.
Anyway, I have Burnout: Paradise on the 360 and while I can't actually play it anymore I'd say it's pretty damn fun.
If your pc can't run NFS Undercover at all(or at least at medium details), that's an emergency situation. UPGRADE NAWO!
The car customization in Porsche was really what won me over I suppose.
And yes, Nfs has sucked since underground, but I thought Most Wanted was the best since, I really want that. Otherwise I don't care much for any of the new ones, especially Undercover and Shift. They just sucks

Incidentally, after a recount, it turns out we're all kinda crap at counting. Potasis was the one who hit 100.
The only cars available to race are food vans with deep fryers in them
