This Map is GREAT! Weather your a battle hungry gamer or a skilled tactition Day14 will provide challenge. If you expect to complete this map in a reasonable time you'd better get your thinkin socks on! The Architecture is STUNNING! STUNNING! STUNNING! This is quite possibly one of the best made maps I have ever seen! More peeps should exploit the Half Life 2 engine to make interesting mini maps for us to play. Well done Playbus! hats off te ya lad...

Agree with Dauby, however, I did like:
-the wavy tile texture in the basement. Actually the basement area looks really good imo--nice work! -the rounded tops of your buildings -Architecture and texturing seemeds clean enough, in most areas, if not boring -lighting is fine. -basement pillars are noticibly too high off the floor--they just need to be raised 1 unit.
The interiors of all the buildings are so plain, I wanted to crap my pans =)
Remakes are generally a bad idea too, but whatever.
Nice bits in a sea of boring stuff, and minus points for remaking a map that wasn't any good to begin with!

Some very nice stuff in this map. A little big for a ka map, but whatever.
Some nice detail in places and in genera looks very nice. You could have used a custom texture to match the water to the sky better, but it still looks good, so no big deal.. Also check out WCD's tutorial on endless sky, not so much for the sky hiding, but check out how he uses two conveyour going in different directions, with a scrolling texture--makes the water look much better.
++Tents! -textureing is dogy in a couple places but no huge deal.
On a whole I really like this map a lot. I would probably never play it, but It still leaves an impression because it seems like a real place to me in some sense.

Oh, and Hunter ... yes there is an order to the tiles. It's got something to do with the phrase printed on some plaques around the place, and the "guide" woman keeps saying it at points too......

Thanks for the reviews .... Kasperg I'm sure the file problem was just something to do with this just being posted, and a lot of people downloading it from the same place at once. It's on other forums with the same link...so....maybe if you try it a bit later you'll get the file OK.

Ok so after having to re-download after the server rest I managed to play it...
Now I found it very impressive mainly because of the architecture and clever ideas for puzzles.
It took me 10 minutes to spot that silly hole for the grav gun...:P I spent 15 minutes trying to figure out that main puzzle and I just gave up due to lack of time (Have to go soon) and well it is HARD Especially for one with low IQ...
Ok so first map was clever with the camera...Annoying thing was ragdolls got in the way.
Second map, you are blocked off but an ugly wall That bothered me slightly...Erm the woman was cleverly done as she follows and say's things...Anyway I found your secret Day 14 made by texture.
Ok so after skipping the main puzzle I probably skipped some good stuff..oh well...
Third map was pretty cool but buggy - ish aka some enemies all crowded together and got stuck. Some enemies spawned on top of me..:P Erm Strider I have no idea what you did but suddenly it spassed and went super crazy...It like ran as fast a a fast headcrab and chased me
Apart from that cleverly done, good and challenging puzzles, I love that weird poking out thing in the second map with the custom spiral texture.
Good action although a bit too hard for me...I rate thee 5 stars because the mapping was excellent and the puzzle pwned me so

Wow. I must say i am VERY impressed.
I cant be bothered writing a full-blown review so i'll just state some key pluses and minuses.
+ The overall atmosphere was great. The mapping and dust particles, set along with great lighting made sure of that.
+ It managed to keep me entertained for almost a whole hour. That's a good thing.
+ The puzzle in the second map is frustrating but fun. I had pretty much figured out the whole of the second part of the puzzle before i finally figured out how to get at the gravity gun. (out of interest, is there an order in which you have to put the tiles in the baskets? i tried U IV VII II B and then just put a random one in the last one for 'empty' and it worked)
+ You got voice actors
+ The strider movement was excellent. "Oh thank god, im safe here" Then it sticks its fucking great big gun in through the roof
+ Are so many enemies good for Gordon's health? Our survey says - No
- the voices were FAR too quiet. I could barely hear a word the woman was saying.
- FUCKING. HEADCRABS
- Lack of ambience.
+/- The mapping wasn't very good in some places, but great in others.
+/- The texturing was the same as the mapping
Overall :
Definately worthy of 5 stars. G-man's manic laugh made sure of that I shall alert PCGamer immediately

that's very observant of you strider (you should see the original lol). But this is only a fun map, as advertised. The actual purpose to this map, was to clean up the old one without changing the structure too much. And I confess that I put in place certain features that would automatically kick people from a crew who banned me for no reason from their version lol.

Some really good stuff in this map.
Interior detail is exquisitlely textured and looks great. Excellent props as well, but perhaps make some stuff more interactive:
Urinals: would be funny to be able to flush them and here the flushing sound lol Home theatere: Make the tv togglable, or "snow" animated texture might be good
The individual glass blocks on the bathroom look great, and the light rays from the streetlights look nice too. The light rays by the doors at ground level though, you might consider making them more transparent or remove all together. Curved starway area also looks great!
-The door in the bathroom is set to open one way only, which reacts strangely when your walking out of the bathroom.
Library/projection room looks great too!
By comparison, the outside areas are a bit plain, but still very nice. Outdoors would be much improved if you added a custom sky!!!!!!!
-80,000 points for no ambient sounds. There are plenty of good places in this map to add them, inside and out, so...use them
I'm very impressed
+ Pretty and convincing
+ Expertly Optimized, please write a tutorial!
+ Great layout, especially for big fights
+ Good lighting
+ Great Skybox
- There was one place I really wanted to get into but was blocked by clip brushes
Very professional work.
But that's not the point. It's a fun map.
And it is a better version than the original, and it runs really, really, REALLY fast on my pc (250fps) so at the least, it's efficient.
3 stars, because it's not original or particularly good --- but it serves its purpose well enough.
I am stuck on the werid temple level.
Sssshhhhh!!!!!
EVENTUALLY.
Hehe.

2. Is it the right game?
Those are possible reasons.

Perhaps the numerals can be changed to letters in the mind? Gah I am soooooo used to just blasting crap...All this thinking makes me hungry.
Thats as much as I'm giving away though.
