Make one where loads of Gmen start appearing and you have to shoot them. I downloaded this example map somewhere and it had a working crane in it and gman, Eli, Alyx etc with guns shooting at me :S

Looking good. Cliffs look a little flat, perhaps use the clip tool to make nice cliffs but the bridge type thing on your picture looks great and stuns me a lot

I don't have the .rmf anymore anyhow, I tried to rescue it from my old PC but it wasn't having any of it. Yeah the bench is shocking! I'll release something better very soon.

glad to see maps still for HL1, my system is crap and I don't have money to buy a new one right now. will try later but from the screenshot the textures look very well aligned, the lighting in the corridor is effective, i won't complain about the blandness of the textures, textures on the bench look a little odd, bench is blocky maybe you can refine that or try using a prefab bench.

Decompiling won't really help you 'cause of the way it works--transforms all the brushes into something that won't compile--, so you're gonna have to rebrush the whole thing anyway. Which shouldn't be too bad, considering from the screenie it doesn't look so complex.
I would advise going into hammer options and removing any unecessary wads before making your next map.
Hunter: I made a lot before that! I've been mapping since '98 but I never finish them. I'm interested in joining an SP mod team though, HL1 or 2.
They had combine noises though :S
