Thanks mate!
I have grandiose plans to add depth, but meh.. The map itself is truly just a real mess of inefficient brushwork; the fact it even compiles amazes me tbh..
I will really try to finish this one Striker, thanks again! =P

The fact you already have a legit full-time job, and still choose to go to school part-time is really impressive, even more especially for an engineering degree!
Really, Really give you credit for sticking with it sir, wish you the best!

Agreed, but they have such short lifespans normally, but it guess it depends breed and whatnot. (my husky growing up only lived to 6, and for the last year she was really sick)

Your son is very lucky to have a dad like you!
Totally on my list to get one of these, and would like to try out the blank caps as well.. (or one of the cheaper mechanical gaming keyboards around $70)

Wonderful work Urby!
I like that you created something beautiful, while keeping with the original Half-Life Style, which is chunky by nature
The Urby sign made me smile; I will smile for the rest of the day because of the Urby sign
If i had one complaint, it's that the scale is a bit too small imo. Selecting the entire map with Ctrl+M, and scaling each axis to 1.2(or a little less) will make things like the doors, a the proper size, and easier to navigate for DM

For maps i use GameBanana(i don't know their filesize limit, but it's pretty big) For images, i use Imgur. For other important stuff, e.g., my vmf/rmf folders i use Dropbox.
I'd like to get some legit hosting soon too, but for now I'm able to get by using freebies...

Yeah, i have no plans to get when soon(someday tho!), but dang, it would make for effortless DIY clothing, but i guess it would have to pretty big for that too

I love how your maps are resemble an unfiltered stream of subconscious, like a dream sequence =P
That jetboat func_train is awesome. i probably drove around for 5 minutes taking in the pretty sights. It really reminds me of a classic ride at Disneyworld tbh(which is awesome), and it's really nice how fluid/realistic you made the movement. That, coupled with that beautiful prefab boat makes for quite a surreal experience, particularly in the GS engine
Some astonishingly pretty brushwork in here. These arches are a great example the smooth-looking, natrual shapes you can achieve in GoldSrc, coupling the right brushes with proper texturing. Ciao bella! =P
The elevator is another example of an interactive doodad you built very well and also made it function in kind.
Speaking of interactivity, maybe add some "cs_assault" trigger_cameras in one of the control rooms, and place some func_tanks weapons about to increase the fuckery even more(tho you possibly don't have the resources available to add much more..) =P
I like how you have very pretty vistas outside, but also very pretty(and extensively detailed and distinct)interiors; you really fit a lot of neat stuff in this map
Looking forward to updates! if you want some more nitpicks, pm me and i can send you a list of minor things i noticed(which i'm sure you are probably already aware of).

Looks wonderful from the screens CStriker, downloading!
The only nitpick i can see from the screens is the stock sky, even if it does fit your theme. There are way nicer skies out there that will better match your beautiful map
Also, why dropbox when you can upload it to fpsbanana, and link this to the download?

Man that sucks! ='(
Maybe make your dayjob something more flexible, so you can take advantage of the juicy freelance work?
What that flexible/permanent job is, i don't know, but even something like waiting tables at a fancy restaurant, you can make enough working the weekends and odd days to get by, during the slow times
And taxes, don't get me started. Half of my friends had great small businesses that were crushed out of existence due to gestapo enforcement taxes in New York State, e.g., if you run a cash business, prepare to be audited every year...

That cavern'y canal is downright beautiful stuff! (Rimrook better look out, being our current resident temple master mapper!) =P
12/10
Do as Tet said and add some screenie galleries, so those of us who don't play cs and/or deathrun maps can enjoy your work!
Hopefually soon with TWHL4, you can upload multiple images. Until then, imgur is a great free host, if you needed one for the meanwhile
Really, Really give you credit for sticking with it sir, wish you the best!
P
If you blog about your adentures with UDK, I'd love to read about itGameplay is just as fun as i remember it, I really like the effects on the bridge, very eerie and believable!
Yeah, sorry about that. Patrick Bateman in that pose really gets under your skin afterwhile
Archie at least you had a good long time with her
Condolences man.
All in all, breaking the journal is more fun
I've been wanting to try SFM for a while, but meh i lack the motivation when i have time, and the time when i have motivation ;P
How long did it take make that?
I needs to get on the server to check it out! When do you guys normally play?
Totally on my list to get one of these, and would like to try out the blank caps as well.. (or one of the cheaper mechanical gaming keyboards around $70)
I have C++, JS and C# books(never opened!) at home, and this might be just the kick in the pants i need to dust them off
Tha JS loader is awesome! Only weird thing is i can't seem to turn around a full 360 degrees. Cool map too BTW!
Very intriguing! Perhaps a nice big screenie gallery would be nice as a preview, for those of us who probably won't play it, or don't have SC?
BTW, Imgur makes for some effortless image gallery hosting for those fabulous extra screens(or until twhl4)
How many years of math(after PreCalc) do you need to understand this stuff?
I found physics/chemistry/maths EXTREMELY boring, but now later in life i think i could have a genuine appreciation for it.. IDK
I'm guessing you are on a laptop with a not-so-great gfx card, or a REALLY old desktop?
I like that you created something beautiful, while keeping with the original Half-Life Style, which is chunky by nature

Zeebs: can you cut polyester fabric in your laser cutter, or would it burn/melt the fabric?
JUMP INTO THE VOID EVERYONE'S DOING IT
Just finally got around to playing this, sorry! (full review at GB)
Really, really great work here mister Doodle. GREAT gameplay, and just extremely beautiful and detailed work, from start to finish! Well Done Sir!
edit
I did not see that beautiful last screen. Is there an alternate ending, or did i miss it? ='(

DO NOT drink 160-proof alcohol, unless you are wanting to go to France in about 15 minutes =P
Also, that's a gorgeous rocks glass sir
