This is a great MOD everyone HAS TO DOWNLAOD. I just played through several maps and my eyes dropped on the floor . It's amazing ! Pure detail . Interactivity ( in some maps ) . I even spend some time looking on the walls :))

Hmm.. Bit of a minor snag with the new version of spirit we decided to use. It fixed a lot of other major bugs, but unfortunately, this one slipped through.

If you ever bought a PS2, you'd need to chip it if you wanted burned discs to work with it. It'd be way cheaper and easier to buy the real thing for ten or fifteen bucks.

I have downloaded it, I'll see if it works with an emulator. I really hope it does I have also downloaded the PS2 version, so I have it just in case I would ever buy a PS2.

The other problem is, since there's no auto save feature, you have to go all the way through the menu and manually save it. When you die, it prompts you to either load a game, or load from your last save. No continue or anything. I was just playing now, and when I died after getting chopped up by the overhead vent fan in Office complex, I was sent back to the end of Unforeseen Consequences where I had last saved. It's probably why they have codes that let you load the game up at the beginning of a chapter. Unfortunately, you can't save constantly, or your save file will get so big the game will start to slow down.

Hmm... Actually, it would appear that it has been redesigned a little, though I don't know how extensively. I skipped to Office Complex, and they modified the map very slightly so that you have to go down a corridor in front of you to get to the lounge area that has the power switch in it. I assume they did this for no other reason than to save r_speeds, since they did get pretty high right there.
Penguinboy: No, it's not chipped or anything, since most Dreamcasts will play burned CDs. That's why SEGA had such a big problem with pirating. And also why there's still homebrew games being made for it.

Quake Wars > Quake 4
Like, by a long shot. Q4 is a repetetive corridor shooter diguised as a war game, ETQW is an actual sprawling class-based war game with some great rewards.
p.s: dont double post journals
8 years is enough to be called old.
I only like good games ;O
Obey me
I know how it works, I once chipped my brother's PS2.
ALso, the lighting could be better by compiling with -extra. if you did, sorry.
Also, a little sound and ambience goes a long way. AT LEAST use trigger_sound to set what kind of echoes happen in the room to give some life.
Overall it is nice though, good choice of texturing.
EDIT: ever plan to update it? i would like to see it in smoother light. If not, well ok.
I have also downloaded the PS2 version, so I have it just in case I would ever buy a PS2.
There's a reason it's called a beta.
anyways, i heard quake 4 has quake 2 included because its like the continue of quake 2... is that correct?
If you think ETQW is shit, and FEAR is great.. I don't know what to say.
Edit: wait, what?
Is the real thing much better than the demo, or is it the same thing but more?
My bad.

Also, Dreamcast.
Awesome
So.. Dreamcast, eh?
but no, good for them.
Quake Wars is in fact quite good, and it has been out for awhile, because it game with my 8600 GTS...
