Happy Birthday!
Does the whitespace show your age?

I think this might be the first time the riddle has stumped everyone.

I hope not. Hearthstone doesn't interest me one bit, and it wouldn't if it had Valve characters or hats.

Interesting.
I could be entirely wrong, but to me it looks like that 'layers' dialog was intended for some kind of precursor to visgroups in Source.
Also, animating brushes in-editor would have been awesome. As is, I find there's way too much trial-and-error involved in any kind of complex motion using path_corners.

You know, even though it doesn't affect me at all, I was relieved when Scotland voted to stay in the UK a few years ago. I guess because it's been part of the UK as long as I can remember, and from this side of the Atlantic it just seemed natural.
Now, though, after seeing the results of THIS referendum, I wish Scotland had left. It's obvious to me now that Scotland's political values don't match up with the rest of the UK, and the UK's economy is about to sink like a stone with Scotland forcibly attached.

Jessie, don't be silly. I don't have the fast-thinking required of a stand-up comedian. :P

Condolences, though I'm glad to see that you're personally okay - you were gone so long I started to get worried!

My university uses a "Blackboard Learn" brand course management system. Has rudimentary messaging, announcements, file hosting. (though my profs generally use dropbox for anything that isn't a PDF or DOC and just link it there)

I'm not a big fan of Google Drive's file management tools (Docs is fine, though!), since the stuff I generally work on in group projects have to be edited by multiple people at various times.
Generally though we just use a repo or dropbox, depending on what the file is for, and then communicate through Skype or Discord.

Using a facebook group or communal email for file sharing is just asking for trouble.

I've had profs tell me I have to make class diagrams, logic flowcharts, figure out the Big O complexity, yadda yadda yadda. Never really saw the point of all the paperwork.

Now, I don't code much out of class since I'm focusing on the art and design side of things, but I find it much easier to just simply describe how it works from a high-level perspective on paper in plain english, then make a step-by-step comment skeleton of what goes where before diving right into the code.

Those monitors look stunning even on my stock laptop display.
I have to say, from that testimony, if I had the budget and (physical) desktop size, I'd probably spring for a couple of those to replace my somewhat-aged Gateway. (It's been faithful as both a primary and secondary display for a good 7, but it has a couple dead pixels, has been starting to lose connection signal for a couple seconds periodically, and the power button is stickier than super glue)

Noted. I started this blog back in high school, and haven't really touched it in a few years, so it's maybe in need of an update. Changed the font to something more readable in the meantime.
