'Jeff: liar! don't believe crap that you read on the interwebs without a legit source to back it up.' I think it was on the L4D blog or something similar, published by valve. I think. Steam news maybe? I dunno, maybe I'm imagining things.

"Remember, I am the same person who worked with a ruptured intestine and shock for a whole week before I was operated. The surgeon removed more than a foot of my intestine." Wait, what? When did that happen? Holy crap you're strong.

Don't worry, Satch. You're a healthy man, it can't kill you as long as you keep your strengh up. I'd try to stay away from your son until you get better, though.

The combine have cornered you in an old mine. There's no excape, other than the way you came. You and Alyx will have to fight your way out. ...did I help at all?
Note to newbies: Hammer/Worldcraft now uses RMF files as well as MAP files. They serve the same function, but RMF has a few more capabilities for in-editor options. These options do not affect the finished BSP in any way. VMF is the format used by Hammer 4.X, the source versions of Hammer. It is similar to RMF.

Nazis are fags. Let's leave it at that. EDIT: "Weird, I always feel bad killing an unarmed or innocent character." I do too, unless I'm in the mood for a slaughter. Also, remember; It's not the Germans who were the bad guys in WWII, it was the Nazi party. The Germans were only following orders, and a lot of them left so they would'nt have to be a part of it.

Nah. I want to be able to publish it shortly after I do a final compile on the last map. I'll check for glitches and test the entire thing a few times, of course. (But I dunno when I'll be able to upload it, depends who I can convince to let me borrow their bandwidth for a while, and when I can) EDIT: Good thing I went back... I just found out that the player can get through the entire game without picking up the melee weapon... Better fix that...

@ raver: No, this is a serious journal. I don't do frontpage jokes @ ATDestroy: I'm just going to go back and add more content. Maybe, it's hard to do because there's so much badly done stuff. When I started earlier this year, I still carved for everything. Now I clip all the windows, doors, and panels.
It wasn't my fault! I was tricked! (potatis, I think) Sent me a link that I thought was just to the MOTM voting page. Not that there was a large selection of quality there, but still.

It's corrupt for me, the download finishes prematurely, which, on dialup, I can easily tell. EDIT: size on disk: 40kb. Not even the mighty 7-zip can open something that corrupt.

...Only this time none of the quality suffers because of decompilation. That's pretty cool. Maybe I can convince my friend to learn how to map by having him make new versions of the original maps.

"fur911 says: *** how do i play" 1. Place the .bsp file in your Half-life/Valve/maps directory 2. In the HL console, type map Blueparadise or whatever the bsp is called. Press enter. OR: 2. go into multiplayer, select the map from the map list. 3. Please do not rate maps you haven't played.
WC, I'm gonna try downloading this one more time. It looks good, but the ZIP is always corrupt. EDIT: Nope, corrupt...Any Ideas why?

Rough week for mapping, eh? "Never in my life have i completed a map to my liking." Most painters and authors think that too. We artists are never happy with what we make, even if everyone else is. We always feel we could have done better. Oh well.

Get to work, I expect a great many good maps. Hell, I may take a break from Colony 42 and enter. I need an excuse to map with concrete and rock textures anyway.

No seriously. Terrible.
More gameplay than my first maps.
It was rigged. THE ELECTION WAS RIGGED!

That mod would be a simulation game win.
2. Yes, get a DS. They're loads of fun on road trips.
