I got it too. As I have Win 8.1 Pro I don't have to worry, but notice that if you have a "Home" edition, updates on Windows 10 will be forced. On the Pro or Enterprise you can turned them off, if you have low bandwidth.

Also, be careful. The internet has just been hit by some new ransomware and nobody really knows where it comes from and who are the authors. It encrypts your files with RSA 2048, which basically means you're fucked if you have important files and don't get the decryption key, or have a quantum computer.

Check your hard drive's health with HD Tune. For visualizing disk space taken by folders I recommend SpaceSniffer. It's fast, small and doesn't require installation.

I downloaded FlashDevelop last year and wanted to scratch a bit the surface of flash programming, but it seemed boring, and after reading a couple of opinions on this subject it seems that Flash is dying so I really lost interest.
Looks to me you weren't that bad. The fact is that a lot of people joined this site in their early teen years. I also was on other forums and I grew up with some of them immediately after my first connection to the internet. But I adapted and learned to communicate.

The thing I'm most curios about in Windows 10 is the secondary approach at installing software, namely a package manager. This is obviously Linux inspired and should remove a lot of hassle.
Also I've heard that with the new DirectX12 which will be shipped with Win10, you will be able to do the equivalent of SLI/Crossfire, but with different generations(possibly different vendors?) GPUs. That is... awesome.

I always thought the Start menu was a nice feature and feared for its absence when I switched to Windows 8.
Get this: there is life after start menu. It is not essential :P. But it mostly depends on your preferences. I tend to organize software in folders in my desktop, and leave the ones I catalog as "general" as icons on the desktop. The search function is the same... maybe better. I'm excited about its comeback in Windows 10 though.
I don't get why the colors are eye-popping and "none of them work for you". Are you not satisfied with a palette of 16 million colors? :)) Unfortunately I don't know of any tweak in this sense, must be some additional plugin to revert back.
Pro-tip: Shift+RightClick in any folder to open a command prompt with the path already set there. This only works in Windows 8 and will save you lots of typing time when you need to work with command line stuff.

G-Sync is pure marketing crap. Don't fall for it. As for the 144Hz spec, well... if your hardware is capable of driving intense graphics games, you can say it's justified. But the G-sync crap is more intended for lower frequency displays( image tearing appears if you GPU outputs more FPS than the screen, and most of the screens are only capable of showing 60FPS - Gsync supposedly compensates for that - I never actually detected tearing in games that can run more than 60FPS on my pc, like HL2).
For the time being, after 60-70 FPS, you can't really notice the difference.
I say you'd better invest your money in a low time response IPS panel.

Wow, it must feel really snappy, but that is a PCIe drive. That's a whole other class(which is super expensive and does not justify unless you do video editing or other jobs that are I/O intensive). Anyway, I'm very pleased with the upgrade, but a bit intrigued that it sits at 44C in idle.

I recommend you start with SDL, but that might be too low level too. I find Allegro or SFML excellent frameworks to start working with, especially for 2D stuff.

Note down your ideas for improvement or... just about any ideas. This works for any domain actually. I myself note down ideas, if I get enthusiastic about them wherever I can. Usually in textfiles but if the enthusiasm hits me really hard I'll write them down in whatever notebook or paper I have at hand( or even the notes application my S4 came with).
Later when you'll have more experience you will be able to tackle them.
This was an advice I got from Captain Terror or Tetsu0, I can't remember who for sure.

I've got a pair of Pioneer SE-M290(the over the ear cup type, with bass ducts) I've paid about 30 euro. Best damn bang for buck, I have them since 2012 and they're still rocking. The sound is awesome for the money too. But an audio card can make the difference. They certainly sound better on my Asus Xonar DS( ~40ish euro) than on my onboard laptop sound card.
I'm not an audiophile, just a normal music listener, so take my opinion as it is.

The new site look is definitely best suited for the dual-article approach. I saw the last article about James Cameron's Terminator 2( which I totally agree was the best film he produced), and the text spanning the whole screen seems a bit tiresome.
There's this modern web style current I don't know to put in words, but your site totally adopts it. In some ways, it's clean and very nice. But for a guy like me that grew and learn about the internet in a time when forums where still heavily used(2007-2010 when the web 1.0 to 2.0 transition kinda was at its end), it seems overly simplified. Don't mean to be a hypocrite, I adopted this theme style on my blog too. Just my feeling that we're having too many websites that are too picturesque but lack that interactive feeling. They feel too...simple. Like having some limited information on the last page of a weekly magazine. The accent put on the "now" is too damn high. In the past sites used to have more of an archival approach, now it's hard to go through older articles.
This is just some rambling that got out of control and might not be related to your site :)).

A very beautiful map, although I never played RP in Garry's Mod. I really like the balanced spaceship atmosphere, but it lacks sound. It's kind of bland without it.
You have a bunch of missing textures, and I have installed ep1 and ep2. Even the planet that can be seen through the windows has a missing texture.
The architecture and overall texturing is outstanding though.

It's an "arcade" version.
But for someone who knows some bits of the blizzard universe, it's fun. And through those mini-games in the map it's quite addictive.
