Damn, it's been a long time. I've gotten more into coding than mapping lately (as in, no mapping, all coding.) Unfortunately, it's not the kind of coding that could be used to make a hl mod. Oh well. :(

i started a new single player mod called War at Black Mesa, in it you have to shut down the main Black Mesa power plant (A Nuclear type power plant). it will include aprox 10 maps and some new models, sprites, features like a slowmotion system, if know where i find cool skins for hl weapons, send me a pm. now i'm working in the 4th level of the mod.

Well, Im starting another map in HL2DM. Im also planning to buy a scanner so I can finally scan some of my drawings for rotoscopy in XSI. I love that word: "rotoscopy"

Day 19
Today finished without much in the way of study subjects. I only received one PM from a member still confused enough to bother studying. Received several PM's from people inquiring into the study though. The curious and well wishers are very polite and seem genuinely interested in the cause of the members confusion. They laugh and say they will keep in touch.

Yeah so my mod Sub Zero for Half-Life is oficially DEAD. I am planning to make a line of DM maps that will hopefully show what I have learned while trying to develop my mod. I will use my very best mapping skills to build the levels while keeping some simple DM concepts in mind. I will place download links on my website (www.freewebs.com/headcrabkilla) as soon as the maps are ready to download.

Day 18
I arrive after a few days to find that in my absence the confusion remains. I am happy to note that this because I had at first suspected it was my problem. Since it continued during my absence I can only ascertain that it is a deficiency on the part of the confused and in no way something I have done.

I have faith however that a solution can be found. The confusion appears genuine so I am hopeful.

Coming up on my second year of membership here, and I have done... nothing. Well, I'm about to change that. You can look forward to something this time around. My 51st login shall be remembered as the login when I vowed to make maps for display!

I have a new Counter-Strike map coming soon.

Well, soon might be a little bit of an overstatement, but I'm working on it pretty consistently.

It's too early in the development of it right now to give any screenshots, but I can tell you a little about it:

It's going to be called de_pine (yes, another tree name), set in a small rural town in the mountains with a Maine-ish feel to it... Or that's what I'm going for anyway. Details are a bit sketchy at the moment, but I plan on it having a convenience store/gas station as one of the bomb sites, a town area, and some smaller residential areas. I also plan on using entirely custom textures, all made by me, so I can get the exact look I want.

I don't want this to be just another lame forgettable CS map like most others that appear, so I'm going to put more effort into this than the last one, which I rushed to finish in only 3 days, and didn't spend enough time on the gameplay aspects of it.

After finally checking responses to my last challenge map...I have decided to make a sequel...storyline is something like this:

After making it out of the tomb you are picked up by a combine patrol...not knowing what to do with you they throw you in an old abandoned jail that once was owned by a rogue combine who was story crazy...he had 1 way to get out but to do that you have to activate a series of machines and accomplish tasks (get gas, turn on pump etc...)

You will start in your jail cell...door unlocked and you have to find your way out :) Sound good??
