Just released a map I started around 5 years ago. It's called surf_city2 and it's nothing like any surf map you've seen before. Check out the short movie I made of it whether you love them or absolutely hate them because I am hoping people who can't stand the shitty surf maps out there find something they like with this one. Also, check out the map if you actually like surfing. Enjoy:

'Tis my birthday today and am now 18. I'm now legal to do many things, most I probably won't end up doing due to sheer laziness. Yay...

Considering how shit this game is, we seem to be playing it an awful lot...

A video walkthrough of my latest Portal 2 map, Interception.

Of course, the walkthrough contains spoiler for the puzzle. So if you want to have a shot at solving the puzzle yourself, you should play the map before you watch the video.

Got to love the fact that mapping greatly helped my understanding and performance in my graphic communication and maths classes..

who says gaming makes you dumber?

I love Mondays.

Even though I started school this monday...
Even though I lost nearly all the ping-pong matches this monday...
Even though I had to go to sleep earlier for the first time after 3 months...

It gives me a new hope for a good weekend.

I hate Sunday evenings. It makes me feel awful when thinking of a whole new school week.

I for one had a pretty good monday. Got scolded in class for still not having finished an assignment I should have turned in 3 weeks ago, but I don't care at all. Also it dragged on at least 45 minutes longer than it should have, so I got home das über late. But I don't care either.

Because I got back home, managed not to burn my food (and it came out great), then got on the computer and talked to a very dear friend of mine with whom I hadn't had a proper chat in years. We did a video chat and I used the excuse to dig out some webcam I got as a gift last year and never got around to use - it worked right away (even no need for drivers) and it had a pretty good image quality. Shame my friend is still using a 15 year old webcam that has a shit quality (I'd suppose it was good enough at the time it was new, but definitely not at this time and age).

Also, some chick in class asked for my number with some vague excuse of having a question about photography. I suppose that can't be too bad either. She kept texting me for about an hour until I got home (photography was never mentioned), when I told her it might be cheaper to write an email instead. Or, in retrospective, talking to me tomorrow in class would work too.

So yeah, just to show that not everyone's mondays suck.

Well, looks like everyone's having a bad monday.
My personal computer won't boot, it just goes full blast on the fan and no signal gets through to the monitor. And it's still doing it after the usual treatment for the symptoms (removing and reinstalling the GPU)
I'll wait until after supper, and if it hasn't sorted itself out, well... I don't know what I'll do. I can't seem to find any other treatments I haven't tried yet.

Also, if you haven't noticed any recent changes to my avatar, press F5.

EDIT: Okay, fuck mondays. It's still fucked up, and after pressing my ear to the case, I ascertained that the sound of the fan was in fact drowning out the sound of the HDD spinning at max speed as well. I was going to let it run for a bit and see what happened, but I'll be damned if I'm going to risk losing my data.

I hate Mondays.

This morning when I got to my desk I found a 4 page document which contained all of the things one of my clients disliked about their website which I worked on until 7pm on Friday. I was then informed that the client was coming in at noon and wanted to see the points resolved and the site complete...

Ugh.

Luckily I got a brief moment of joy when the client got stuck on the one way system in Shrewsbury, making them 30 minutes late. I got the site done by 25 past, the client came in, went through it and loved it. One hour later, my MD slipped a £50 into my hand as a bonus.

Figured I'd get myself Deus Ex with the money. Got home to find that the wife has been shopping with her mum and spent £50 on herself, so she offered to buy Deus Ex for me.

I hate Mondays, but today has been awesome!

Tomorrow I start my last year of high-school. I kind of feel awful and already fear the final exams.

I hope I will find ways to raise my morale and rectify my knowledge gaps as soon as possible.

Ever wondered it's like to play Rainbow 6 Vegas 2? Well this is the coop mode.

Coop makes even the worst game good!

I got up at 5 am, and went downstairs to watch a movie by myself.

It's a peaceful time of the day. 5 am on a Saturday is typically very quiet.

"Conversation with Other Women" put me in a sentimental mood.

I am a sentimental person to begin with, so the film just accentuated that aspect of me.

I was particularly sentimental about my son this morning. After he woke up, I carried him like a baby to the living room to have breakfast, and I spoon-fed him myself. Pretty soon, he wouldn't want me to feed him anymore.

I am missing the past when the past is still the present.

I'm back! Did you miss me?
...
You didn't even notice? Eh, close enough.

Alright, so I have a few updates now, the main one being that I just got through my first week of my focus program at school. This program takes place in another school, so I have to get used to a new layout, new people, new IT guy spying on your work. I'm now a modeler, albeit a very bad one who can't texture things yet. I made a pistol clip, then looked up 9mm rounds and discovered I have to redo it if it's going to be for a 9mm gun. (The round sticking out the top is too long and narrow to be 9mm.) Screenshots may follow. I'm also transmitting this post via a new external modem which my cousin installed. (as you may recall, the external was dead, leaving me to rely on the 1GB-cap 'highspeed', which caused my disappearance once I hit the cap.) It didn't exactly fit the tiny HP-made office tower, but removing a few bits of useless metal was good enough to get it in there. Anyway, I have some stuff to catch up on.
