I never clean my keyboard unless I have a really big crumb stuck under a key so it gets stuck, and usually even then I just hit the key really hard to break the crumb up. If that fails I'll pull the key off and a few around it and clean it out.
HL2DM is pretty boring. You can't walk anywhere without getting hit with a stupid barrel (the gravity gun gets boring after a while, just an annoying gimmick). HL2's weapons aren't as fun either, where are the snarks?! Where are good old gauss jumps? It just doesn't feel right playing HL2DM. HLDM is superior by far. I also agree with Rimrook about CS. CS:S and CS are the same game with different graphics when it comes to gameplay. But I still play CS:S instead, because graphics appeal to me, and it plays pretty much identically really.
Deathmatches are suppose to be primal, simple, and fast. It doesn't need fancy graphics or gameplay. All it requires is fast reflexes and quick thinking.QFT. Nothing beats a good Quake3 LAN, except from a RTCW Instagib Goldrush LAN

The games they are playing suck, they need some LAN favorites. Quake3, Wolfenstein, CS, etc.

Yes, but not many of you are competitive gamers. It might be true that alot of serious, competitive gamers are total retards when it actually comes down to computers, but they are dedicated to gaming, not computers themselves.

Looking at those unloaded driver filenames, sounds like a sound-related issue.
I know people in CS1.6 who turn their brightness up all the way just to they can see people in the shadows.............Most professional players do it, in pretty much every competitive game out there. Most professional players also run with 16-bit color, minimum detail, and very low resolution. When it's competitive, you don't really give a shit about graphical quality, just about the gameplay. I've been playing Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory competitively for quite a while, and I can't play well with lots of details at all, it's distracting. I play ET at 1024x768, minimum texture quality, 16-bit color, z-buffer, textures, low geometric quality and very high gamma. Believe me, if your only goal is trying to win and not looking at pretty graphics, that's the way to go.

Opera has millions of features, yet it takes up less RAM than Firefox or IE :roll:. Not bashing FF here, FF's memory usage is a "feature" which caches all forward/back pages for each tab in their entirety in RAM, which by nature will consume memory. I believe there is a setting in about:config that will turn it off or reduce the level of caching, but I don't know it.
IE is a joke. I've used Firefox since it was first in the public (Phoenix 0.2 is when I started using it semi-exclusively). Even then, when it was plagued with bugs, and was merely a cut down version of Mozilla with a new UI, it kicked the living shit out of IE. Of course now I'm using Opera (I keep Firefox installed for compatability purposes and web development purposes of course, even though Opera can handle almost everything thrown at it). I'd never touch IE again in my life, especially the lack of tabbed browsing, who the fuck wants to fill up their taskbar and their RAM with multiple IE instances just to have multiple sites open at once? With the number of pages I regularily have open at once, I'd need a 2-tier taskbar at 1600x1200 for it to be bearable if I used IE. People who use IE and refuse to switch to Opera or Firefox are just masochistic noobs who don't have the willpower to quit using their precious IE.

Texture is nice, model looks a bit bland. But I agree, it looks ok with that texture.
Get an S-Video cable, stick it into the S-Video input on your TV if it has one, if it doesn't, I'm sure you could find an adapter..
The recoil on it is pretty horrible for accuracy 
DoD:S is fun, played it about 50 times since it was released. Looks awesome with HDR on

Try playing FEAR with 16xAF 4xAA 1600x1200 Soft Shadows and all details at max on a PS3 (if it were ported to the architecture). It'd fall to it's knees. My PC can just about do that playable with a bit of tweaking. [/brag]

Age ratings won't really stop anybody. Even little kids (of like, 8 years old) are playing GTA and such, which is rated 18. And even if their parents won't buy them a game, it's not exactly difficult for anybody with remote computer knowledge to download age-restricted games/movies/whatever.
Console gaming is fun, but not hardcore gaming. Hardcore gaming is all about siting in a dark room for days on end. Console gaming is more of a joke than a serious gaming platform.
