I'd use a math_counter together with a trigger_multiple, one setup for each car, or whatever it is that you are racing with. Use filters based on names to make sure that one car doesn't trigger all triggers, but just it's own.

The main trigger on the finishline should be setup to disable itself, and then there should be two other triggers, one halfway through the track, and one halfway to the halfway mark.

The trigger on halfway triggers the finishline to enable itself again, remember that you can use the same name for all the finishline triggers, so it won't be that confusing..
The trigger halfway to halfway should be yet another trigger that disables the finishline, preventing possible exploits for people driving backwards

blah blah I'm sure you get it..

That would be the easiest solution.
Group the setups for each car, that'll make it easier to edit them.
There is no way you can use the same trigger for all players.

AKA, a push with a speed of 600 straight upwards means the player is in zero gravity. (A great trick for selective gravity rooms)

I have a trigger_teleport but no info_teleport_destination, what is up with theat?

The trigger_teleport is the volume which the player has to enter to be teleported to the info_teleport_destination

Have you got any problems with any other game?

Is this in steam?

Try removing the half-life CFG archive in your account folder in steam.
Perhaps there is something wrong with it.
All mods gathers information from this file, and so does the original game itself.
If it has gone corrupt it will effect the mods aswell.

When you remove it steam will automatically redownload it upon launch.
T'is worth a try imo.

Im sure lots of people would want to play a random mod filled with random maps in a random sequence that makes no sense at all, and has no storyline.

This idea has - as it has been stated by others above - been attempted by more experienced people with real skills, and yet it has failed.
WHY oh WHY would this one succeed then eh?
I know "The Noob" isn't familiar with the history of TWHL, but it just suprises me when random old members joins this obviously non-experienced modleader when they are aware of how a mod should be created and what has happened before.

Dude? Quake II? That was fuwking SEXEEH! It pre-dates HL and still looks way better. And Quake III came two years after that, that was fucking hot aswell.
Quake 2 was not at all as sexy as Half-life.
The textures were ugly, it was all grey and the sprites were quite shitty.
Basically everything was made out of huge and very noticeable squares
Half-life however, was not ;>

Also I believe Half-life has an improved lightning system etc etc.
Remember, Half-life used an IMPROVED version of the quake 2 engine.
So it would be weird if HL is uglier than Q2. ?O

Half-life was definitely something new and sexy when it came out.
It raised the bar for all other games to compete with both graphically and gameplay wise..

BUT
You're right it kinda dropped the oldschoolism that is Quake 2, but at least it continued the story in a different but still good way!
Except the end which made no sense ;O

They did keep some enemies tho!
The standard stroggs were pretty boring and didn't at all look like the ones from the previous games, so that doesn't count, but the Gladiator was pretty awesome, and.. wait.. only the gladiator? I guess that is a bit shit then, but still, gg!

Oh and I also think that the quoteboxes needs the name of the one you quoted in them.

Played the updated version for a few mins.
It appears as if the new unlocksystem or whatever it is is very buggy because there were people who somehow exploited the system to get an advantage in the game, blah blah I didn't really get it but everybody was complaining on the whole server.
Goldrush seems like fun, new achivements seems like a good way to attract people to the medic class, and the unlock system.. well I don't know because I haven't really seen any unlocks yet and I have no idea how it works.

That's coding.
That doesn't mean there isn't a way to fake it tho.
Look through the info_player_start's outputs.
I know there is something there which has to do with being hit by a stunstick, just set that specific output and trigger it to hurt the player 10 hitpoints.

It should work, if you find it.
It's probably the same output used to knock the player down in the beginning of HL2, I've used it myself, but I can't remember if I did it with the HEV or without it.

The name of the output should be rather obvious, just take a look.

There are some commands that starts with hl2_

Ex: HL2_speed_walk 100

They control all the speeds, but are a bit buggy, for example, if you already are walking during the change, it won't change until you stop walking.

Or you could experiment with paranting trigger_push brushes to the player, but I doubt that it is possible.

And what do you mean, "gear"?

Last time I had problem with custom sounds ingame you guys told me to remove all cuepoints and it worked fine after I did.
Can't remember if it was source or GldSrc but I think the same rule applies to both engines. ;S
