Extract the whole bunch in your /Valve Hammer Editor/Tools folder. But first get rid of any older tools in that directory. Then you're done. The compile tool files still have the same filename so, you should'nt need to modify any settings in Hammer, if you compile with Hammer.

It should be this:

Btw, why are all of your compile tools places in the Hammer's main directory? It should be:
X:Program FilesValve Hammer Editortoolsvis.exe
by default.

Your best bet is using the angular velocity on your fan for your train. Just take a look at my example map.

I might make a tutorial about the angular velocity, its a wonderfull effect and best of all: No spirit and no aditional coding is required.

A func_door_rotating, in this case, a water tower, need an ORIGIN brush attached to em. This actually works like a hinge. If you make a func_door_rotating without an ORIGIN brush attached to it, Half-Life, or the Engine, automatically places the FDR at the center of the level area, the point where X, Y and Z meet.

Use Pakscape (no installation required).
  • Open up Pakscape.
  • Go to your Half-Life/valve folder and open pak0.pak
  • Once inside the pak, go to the models folder and select (CTRL-A) all model files. Then copy (CTRL-C) and paste it in your Half-Life/valve/models folder on your hard drive.
Done.

PS: you have to keep Pakscape open when you copy/paste the model files. If you close pakscape after you copied the files, you might lose the copy.

You can actually make the car moving, and the wheels spinning, and even they can move along with the car.

The only disadvantage is that the moving spinning wheels cannot make turns.

You used some textures which are to large. 256X256 is the highest texture size Half-Life can handle. 512*512 is also possible, but not with old videocards.

Either remove those texture, or resize them to a lower resolution.
