Kasperg is indeed correct on both of those points. Black materials are cos you're using prop textures. And you should turn up your settings if you're posting highish res screenshots. Jagged lines and blurry textures aren't attractive.

I'm afraid that's rather ugly, and I don't see the purpose of sharing such early screenshots. They'll just get mocked and I doubt anything constructive will come out of it.

At the moment, they're dark rooms full of props and light sources that aren't even lit (i lyk ur realism lol). Hell, even mcmitcho could do that.

I wouldn't have shown screenshots this early, but you've gone ahead and done it. I'd try and make something good and a little more established before showing it off.

Railway21 has bland grey/brown lighting. Not bright, vibrant, colourful with a nice blue ambient. Stop calling me a hypocrite because you can't take any fucking criticism without having a cow. I think it's about time someone took away your pedestal, because you're not THAT good.

dm_avalon has superb lighting. And yes, Steamlabs is also very good.

Good lighting isn't strong contrasts. Good lighting is colourful without being over the top and unrealistic. Good lighting has realistic ambients. Good lighting doesn't have incredibly dark shadows and bright sunlight areas.

I know what you may think is good is different to my ideas, but whatever. I'm sure most people agree with me more than you.

The mod is going to be dead in a few days, it seems. Unfortunately, I fear it'll die before the team has opportunities to make and release a patch to fix up the problems.

I can only find 13 servers on Steam, 2 of them with a latency under 200, which are both empty. And whenever I join an empty Australian server, the only people who come to play with me are (coincidently) fellows from the Dystopia Testing and Development team! haha! And some guy called Rubber Ducky with an SMG who just bitches cos apparently I don't know how to play the game.

It's FAR to buggy right now, and if a person who has no idea what he's doing is being the RTS fellow, the game just blows goats. Too bad, cos I like the idea, but the execution is lame and it's nigh impossible to get a good game going.
