You'll have to trick the engine to think that the vehicle IS touching the floor but its really tall-
Change the 'height' value(is there one?) to the same amount you want the car to be tall.
I hope you get the point...

Like using the same textures over a whole building/area,
or having textures not-very-goodly aligned, or having repetetive textures, or having just boring, undetailed textures.

There isnt a wad called de_rats.wad lol.
they used cs_bdog.wad check that out...
For big pencills just use the 1 coloured GENERIC textures (type generic in the search thingy)

So heres what I think,
I like the open-style, only when in one corner, the other corner isnt visible.
Alot of secret passage ways is always funny :).
The lighting need fixing though, its way too dark in parts, and the r_speeds go up when on open-area(try increasing scale on the ground).

Most certainly sounds like you need a origin brush in it. (just include it anywhere in the "Car")
Remember you need 2 path corners too(for where the car spawns, and where it 'looks').
The 'car' has to face East in the top view.
