Oh sorry I didn't state that in the beginning.. You can't parant a phys_lengthconstraint. If you could, there woul be no problem I guess. Lengthconstraint has a more complex system
Right, I think we've all seen the E3 vid traptown, and it is no secret that I am remaking it. Now, I am experiencing a bit of a problem with the crane trap where you shoot at a bunch of beams bunted together and they start swinging and smashes the combine in the head.
The top of the crane has a rope going down to the hook. The hook is lengthconstrainted to the top of the crane. It hangs there, fine no problem. However, I need something to hang in the hook! I need the beamcluster to hang in the hook. Also, the beamcluster needs to be hung at two points - the edges, not just one point. I need it to swing straight, not rotate around.
How can this be done?
I could make a drawing in paint of how I want it if someone didn't understand.
TWHL teached me english, and mapping. TWHL is a friendly place, sure there are a few r-tards here, but that's part of the internet experience and makes it a more interesting place to be.
I also think that TWHL will change dramaticly when TWHL3 is finnished
TWHL is great, and will not die as long as there are fresh tutorials on the table.
Although I don't agree on you that FF is a clone of TFC. They have changed a lot and put in some of their own ideas too. Looks fun, but TF2 looks much more fun. :>
I googled around a bit, and at one point I read that this error means that the steam content server gives you this error when it is running out of bandwidth. But that sounds very weird to me.
However if this is true, then you could wait an hour or two and then try again. Still the same problem? Reinstall steam.
1.18? EH? Anyways, perhaps you are out of virtual memory... But hell, I've forgot where you edited it. Somewhere in the properties of "My Computer" I'm guessing.
Playbus: Electrons does not move in circular orbits. Their paths around the core is in fact a mixture of chaos and probability. Orbitals as they are called are far from the way planets move gravitationally around the stars.
I've watched loads of trailers and read loads of stuff. But I don't get it. What do you DO? What's the style of gameplay? Is it true that you can do ANYTHING? Can you go anywhere you want?
Please, you guys who have it and have played it, explain without spoiling if possible.
Well now when you put it that way Im not sure I want it anymore
Same enemies all the time just ain't fun.. except in FEAR cuz of the awesome AI which IMO Bioshock doesn't have. At least in the demo the behaviour of the enemies was just fail, (exception: Big daddy. We've all seen the trailers right? :>)
Put the graphics at high, and it sure was an awesome eyecandy experience, but still, it needs to be fun and hot on the same time.
I rather save my money for EP2 orange pack and BiA Hells highway.
Try pie try. Put orange dot (or blue dot.. at least it is for me in the 3D view) in the middle (see where the X is in the 2d views) and then it should work.
Make sure that the purple dot is exactly in the middle of the train, don't touch it at all, cos that is the origin point which is used instead of the origin brush in HL1.
Then you do as I said before.. make the messurements. The train will move untill the point of origin hits the path.
I've done this myself with ai_goal_assault so don't tell me it doesn't work. You just need to mess around with it a bit. It's a mess really. You will need "OnSpawn" outputs which are targeted to the ai_goal_assault and stuff like that, eventually it will work. Im on my laptop so I can't give you any exact details. Give me some time and I might make another example.
I heard somewhere in the forum that you can use an ai_goal_follow targeted at the player as well, to make them hunt the player down, but I have never tried this myself.
