The best thing that's ever happened to me was not getting caught with that hash cake in my pocket through Amsterdam customs. They simply asked me what it was and I replied "it's a cake." Fortunately they did not question me any further and allowed me to proceed through the gates.

Sounds good to me. There's no room for general chit-chat in #twhl, since the conversation is frequently being rudely interupted by actual mapping questions.

The regulars need a seperate channel to talk crap in, and this also should be in some way official, rather than some kind of break away faction, ruled by idiots.

If an official channel for regulars were set up I would be much obliged.

"chit-chat" Does that include pig-jokes ?

Cold War.
Soviets didnt have money/technology to go even near the moon, usa had lots of money and advanced technology but someday someone realised that its not possible to go to the moon with that time modern technology.
Usa had better technology than Soviets but still Soviets were winning the 'spacerace'.
