I'm not sure that 'fun' is necessary. Maybe just three things, construction, layout, and overall. Then you put details in with the comments.

Definitely think that you should have to comment to be able to vote (but not vice-versa, since sometimes you will need to comment more than once on changes, advice, etc).

This isn't a problem with the overview. That's just a message you get when you don't have one provided; it won't crash HL.

You've made something odd that makes HL crash in your map. Check for entities targetting themselves, compile errors, crazy huge things, etc.

You can't compile in true DOS. Maybe you mean in a DOS window? Just type "hlrad /?" or whatever (maybe just "hlrad") and you'll get a list of arguments.

I personally hope Hammer 4'll have much better lighting. I wish you could turn off the faux-shading in Hammer 3, all it does is hinders my mapping when there's glare on the screen.

It's not a problem, it's intentionally coded in order to allow people to choose which way to open a door.

Tick 'one way'? If it opens the wrong one way, tick "reverse dir".

Whoa, whoa, better idea. I think. No offence to trapt, but since I can edit anyone's maps:

1. You submit a placeholder file, 0-byte ZIP or whatever
2. You send me the actual file (FTP, e-mail, DCC on IRC, MSN)
3. I upload it, you get proper credit.

1. 1.1.1.0

2. Only rarely. I rigged Windows Key + H to launch HL straight to the console, so mainly just 'map x'

What program are you using to map, then? If you're using Hammer and that doesn't appear, unclick "SmartEdit" and change the key with the value "10" to "1". Should fix it.
